High school diploma or GED required. Child Care experience preferred. Responsible for safe transportation of three and four year old children per Head Start Performance Standards and DHS Licensing. Will assist the teacher in the classroom. Must have liability insurance; be at least 21; have a valid TN driver’s license and been driving for 5 years; able to pass DOT physical; and able to obtain commercial driver’s license (CDL) following employment. Responsible for daily food service in the center, grocery shopping, and compliance with CACFP requirements. Will assist with food-related activities in the classroom. May assist with home visits and parent-teacher conferences; help organize classroom and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. Will act as immediate supervisor in the teacher’s absence. Must have exceptional phone skills and be proficient in English and Spanish with the ability to translate (verbally and written); typing in Spanish a plus. Job Title: Van Driver/KitchenAide
Location: Monroe County SNP Site
Program: Senior Nutrition
Education/Experience Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Ability to work with others, good communication skills. Must have valid Tennessee driver’s license and proof of liability insurance on vehicle. Must pass thorough personal background check. Previous experience in kitchen or restaurant work preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities: Kitchen Aide practices sanitary methods of food handling, including carefully washing hands and wearing gloves and aprons when packing home delivered meals. Maintains a neat and clean appearance and practices good hygiene at all times to avoid spreading illness. Practices proper dishwashing and cleaning methods as required by State Health Department and helps maintain a clean and healthy environment to prepare food. Picks up and takes home eligible participants to congregate meal site. Is courteous and cordial to participants and employees at all times.

Job Title:
On-Site Maintenance
Location: Sparta
Program: Rental Management
Education/Experience Qualifications: Previous experience in light maintenance work such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry repairs. Possess good general mechanical aptitude and prior experience in apartment maintenance. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Must have and maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license and proof of liability insurance on  automobile. Ability to deal tactfully with staff and tenants, make good decisions and give careful attention to work. Must live on-site in apartment provided at complex.

Duties and Responsibilities: Performs light maintenance duties such as minor plumbing, painting, electrical or carpentry repairs. Changes return air filters on regular basis and light bulbs as needed. Mows grass on property as necessary. Trims plants and shrubs as needed, may use weed eater. Rakes leaves, removes limbs, debris, cleans sidewalks as needed in all seasons. Picks up trash around buildings. May clean gutters. May accompany pest control or other contract service workers as needed. Responds to after-hour emergency calls if present on property.

Education/Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education or similar field with a minimum of two years teaching and/or administrative/supervisory position related to the program’s goals and objectives. Demonstrated ability and experience in organizing and managing an educational/enrichment program. Commitment to assisting students and parents achieve their full potential. Ability to work effectively with children with physical, developmental or learning disabilities. Should also have experience in designing/modifying existing educational curricula and materials to meet unique learning needs of individuals. Should have appropriate knowledge and sensitivity to low-income participants and in outreach and recruitment of that group. Ability to work effectively with principals, teachers, program staff, volunteers, parents and students. Computer literacy is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel helpful. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees and/or manages daily operations at project sites. Works with County Coordinator to plan activities, recruit volunteers, supervise and train staff and volunteers. Acts as liaison between school and project. Works cooperatively with regular school staff and lead tutors to obtain information about academic and behavioral needs and progress. Requisitions supplies and materials to support activities. Collaborates with school teachers to prepare customized learning programs. Assists program lead tutors in conducting program services and serves as fill-in staff as needed. Coordinates the school year and summer component requirements (record, eligibility, USDA Food Program, etc.) plan and activities with school personnel, parents and community groups. Collects data and continuously monitors progress/improvement. Completes monthly reports in a timely manner.

Job Title: Facilitator
Location: Hamblen County
Program: TPP
Education/Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social services, education, counseling, health education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Two years’ experience in planning and implementing positive youth development programs working with at-risk youth preferred. Exhibits genuine care and concern for teens. Knowledgeable of adolescent development and current issues impacting teens while exhibiting support and acceptance of teens.

Duties and Responsibilities: Present grant approved curriculum to youth enrolled in grades 6-8 during  the school day. Collect uniform data  on each participant, including curriculum hours, academic performance and school disciplinary actions. Facilitate Service Learning projects for participants. Collect uniform data on each participant’s hours spent in community service. Facilitate cooperation between community service opportunities and school personnel and teens involved in program. Assist Program Manager in meeting weekly with school principals and teachers to integrate grant approved curriculum topics in other school subjects. Assists Program Manager with any and other job-related tasks, as requested.

Job Title: Data Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in enforcing policies and procedures governing data collection pertaining to multiple state and federal grant sources. Assists Education Center Director in selecting and/or developing data management tools for use in tracking required budgetary records for multiple programs. Assist with maintenance of project budgets and reports data for multiple programs through computerized spreadsheet and various databases as determined by Education Center Director. Assists in preparation of grant budgets. Assists in preparing vouchers for bill payment for multiple grants.

Apartment Manager
Location: Pigeon Forge/Sevierville
Program: Rental Management
Education/Experience Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Must have valid Tennessee driver’s license and proof of insurance on automobile. Computer literacy, including strong word processing, spreadsheet and internet skills. Able to deal tactfully with the public, tenants and co-workers, and to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assists all who wish to apply for tenancy at a complex. Maintains facility in a clean and safe condition, insures that all repairs are completed as needed, grounds are maintained and facilities are secure. Completes and maintains appropriate paperwork and files on tenants, including rent collections charts and purchasing accounts. Ensures that facility is in full compliance with all federal, state and local ordinances, regulations and codes. Actively communicates with all tenants and provides a minimum amount of assistance to make sure they are maintaining normal health habits. Coordinates transportation, recreational activities and social services as instructed. Collects, records and deposits rent and security deposit money.
