The project's goal is to implement innovative strategies that will retain and expand manufacturing base and increase capacity of communities to undertake affordable housing activities. A Job Creation Incentive Fund will be created with project funds and funds will also provide for economic development training for community leaders.
Project Goals:

Increase the number of quality manufacturers and employers in the region. Influence creation of 175 jobs.

Establish Job Creation Incentive Fund.

Inventory existing firms and conduct a comprehensive survey of business needs and issues.

Fund community leaders' attendance and participation in economic development training events.

Assist communities to develop HOME grant applications.
