The Southern Appalachian Economic Development Partnership is a project of the Douglas Cherokee Economic Authority.The project received funding to provide economic development services to an eight county region. The region is composed of two federally designated Enterprise Communities - Scott-McCreary and the Clinch Powell Enterprise Community.
Project Goals:

Increase the number of quality manufacturers and employers in the region. Influence creation of 200 jobs.

Organize and train local and regional committees to understand and assist in economic development efforts.

Promote counties via the Internet. Develop compelling web sites for each county and the region.

Collaborate with Enterprise Communities and other economic development entities.

Assist existing manufacturers and introduce them to E-commerce techniques.
Counties Served: Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock, Hawkins, Union, Scott in Tennessee and McCreary Co. in Kentucky.
