EOC is a US Department of Education Federal TRiO program designed to serve low-income, first-generation college clients. Its primary goal is to assist those without a high school diploma to earn a GED and to enable those with diplomas or the equivalent to enroll in college or technical programs and seek financial aid resources. The project also provides additional services including GED pre-testing, tutoring, career assessments, college loan default help, referrals for basic computer skills and other pertinent educational topics.

Counties Served: Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Jefferson, Monroe in Tennessee and Harlan, Kentucky

Clients Eligible:

  1. U.S. Citizens or eligible non-citizens
  2. Low-income individuals (according to US DOE poverty guidelines)
  3. First-generation college participants (neither parent has a 4-year college degree)
  4. Veterans
  5. Disabled Citizens
